Bio Seedling Soil, 20 Liters: Peat-Free Premium Soil for Growing Vegetables and Flowers
The Bio Seedling Soil is specially formulated to provide optimal conditions for sowing vegetables and flowers, as well as for transplanting young plants. Its excellent water retention capability ensures that the soil remains moist internally, even if the surface appears dry. Therefore, it is advisable to check the moisture level of the soil before watering to avoid overwatering.
As plants enter the leaf growth phase, their nutrient requirements increase. At this stage, it is recommended to switch to a more nutrient-rich soil, such as Bio Flower Soil or Bio Tomato and Vegetable Soil, to support continued growth effectively.
The occasional appearance of a white fungal network on the soil surface indicates high biological activity and the slow decomposition of the horn shavings included in the mix. This is a natural process and does not cause concern.
Material and Composition
The Bio Seedling Soil consists of a carefully balanced mix of organic compost, wood fiber, expanded clay granules, and horn shavings. These main components are designed to create an optimal environment for intensive root development and high biological activity. The soil is screened to 8 mm and has a bulk density of 0.7 t/m³, which supports its ease of use and good structure. The horn shavings in the mix act as a long-lasting nitrogen reservoir, significantly contributing to the sustainable promotion of plant growth.
